Scaffolding Questions Answered
Do I need a licence for scaffolding on the pavement?
Yes. If any part of the scaffold sits on a public road or pavement, a scaffold licence is needed from the local highways authority before it goes up. Don't worry, we can arrange the licence for you.
How long can I keep the scaffolding up?
Our standard hire period is 6 weeks, but we'll tailor it to what your job needs and confirm it in your quote. If the work runs over, just let us know and we can extend it.
Is the scaffold inspected while it's up?
Yes. Scaffolds are inspected after they're erected, at regular intervals while in use, and after anything that could affect their safety, such as high winds, in line with the Work at Height Regulations.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry £10 million public liability insurance and are CHAS accredited, so you can be confident your project is in safe hands.
